What it takes to create A Doll House essay introduction
The introduction of any literary essay is meant to set the scene and introduce the reader to the topic and questions you are going to address throughout the essay. It doesn't matter if it’s about A Doll House or any other work of literature, it must still follow the same guidelines in order to make the greatest impression on the reader. So how does it do that? A hook or grab line is intended to grab the reader's attention and make them want to read further. It's worth noting that when you first introduce the author of the book that you use their entire name including middle names. After the first time, you must then refer to them using their surname only. In this case, it would be, Henrik Ibsen and then Ibsen for the rest of the paper. Identifying the title of the book leaves the reader under no illusion as to what the essay is talking about. A small bit of background of both author and book would be a good thing to include here too. - A brief summary of the plot
This should only be a couple of sentences in length and give a brief summary of the plot and the key themes which it deals with. - Thesis Statement
This usually comes at the end of your introduction and is a great way to lead your reader into the paper. It set out what you wish to explore in the essay and the key points which you will address. Again it should only be approximately 1-2 sentences in length and be referred back to in the conclusion section of the paper.
